Aubrey Peeples

Aubrey Peeples is an American performer and actress. She has won numerous awards for her roles in the roles of Layla Grant and Claudia Shepard as well in Nashville (2012). She was the lead character Jerrica Jem Benton in the 2015 movie Jem and the Holograms. Aubrey Peeples grew up in Lake Mary Florida by parents Wendy and Ashley. Her younger sister is Ally. When she was growing up, Aubrey was a part of the Orlando Repertory Theatre for ten years. She graduated from Lake Mary Preparatory School where she was valedictory speaker of the class in 2012. Harvard University accepted her but admitted her twice, in order to take on her part in Nashville. Peeples played a cameo in Drop Dead Diva (2009) Burn Notice (2007) Austin & Ally (2011) Grey's Anatomy (2005) and had the role of a regular in Necessary Roughness (1991). She appeared on the television movies Ace Ventura Jr. Pet Detective (2009), and The Good Mother. She played Layla Grant, a major part of the Nashville second season of the drama. In 2019, Peeples acknowledged having bipolar disorder during an interview with NKD Magazine. Indiewire listed Peeples to be one of the top actors of the year under twenty-one in September 2014.
